Description: Grapeseed oil Vitis vinifera , is a vegetable oil pressed from the seeds of various varieties of Vitis vinifera grapes, an abundant by-product of wine making. Grapeseed oil is a preferred cosmetic ingredient for control of skin miniaturization. A light, thin oils, grapeseed oil leaves a glossy film over the skin when used as a carrier oils for essential oils in aromatherapy. It contains more linoleic acid than many other carrier oils. Grapeseed oil is also used as a lubricant for shaving. Although grape seeds contain antioxidants and other biologically active compounds, the cold-pressed grape oils contains negligible amounts due to their insolubility in lipids.
