This herbaceous, slightly camphorous smelling pure oil is commonly used in insect repellent and insect bite creams as well as in many bronchitis, cold and cough inhalants. Sweet, herbaceous green and uplifting. Spicy, warm and fiery, somehwat like licorice. Blends well with Rosemary, Geranium, Clary, Sage, Oakmoss, and Sandalwood.

Blending Suggestions: Basil blends especially well with bergmot, clary sage, rosemary, geranium and citrus oils such as lemongrass or lime.
Basil Oil is know to aide in: Bronchitis, colds, coughs, exhaustion, flatulence, flu, gout, insect bites, insect repellent, muscle aches, rheumatism, sinusitis. The health benefits of basil essential oil include its ability to treat nausea, motion sickness, indigestion, constipation, respiratory problems, and diabetes. Basil oil is also a good source of Vitamin A, magnesium, potassium, iron, and calcium.
