What is our Lotion Base? This Lotion Base is what body lotion, creams, hand lotion, body butter & hand cream is made from. Our wholesale lotion base is a thick paste that contains very little water. Simply blend in warm water to control the thickness of finished product. You’ll be able to make hand lotion, creams, body lotion, body butter & hand cream as thick or as thin as you want. You’ll even be able to make body milks & body mists with this all natural lotion base. We offer wholesale lotion base & wholesale soap supplies on our web site.

Why use our Lotion Base instead of a Pre-made Blend? Usually, a pre-made wholesale lotion base contains quite a lot of water. Water is heavy – that extra weight means higher shipping costs. Eliminate the water and save on shipping – which means a better profit for your finished hand lotion, hand cream, body butter, face cream & body lotion. This wholesale lotion base is very easy to make.

Is it hard to make the Lotion Base? It’s very easy to make our lotion base. Simply blend hot distilled water with the lotion base using a hand mixer, paddle mixer or kitchen-aide mixer. When you’re satisfied with its consistency, add some fragrance oil, colorant or other ingredients.

Are there Instructions for making the Lotion Base? We send a complete set of instructions every time the lotion base is purchased. A set of instructions can also be fount by clicking the link under the picture of the lotion base. The instructions are only meant to be a guide – be as creative as you want to make your own special blend of hand lotion, hand creams, body lotion, body butters & face cream.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Will this lotion hardens like body butter?

The lotion is very concentrated and will only harden like a body butter when you add additional butters and little to no water!

  • Does the directions tell you how much water to add? Or do you have to add water?

When you purchase our lotion base it will come with directions of how much water you are able to add!

  • Hello! Can I add some skin whitening powders, serums and oils to this base in order to make a lightening body lotion?

    Hello,

We generally do not recommend adding additional additives to our bases and because of this we cannot gurantee a successful outcome. The only items we can gurantee a good outcome would be fragrance or essential oils and adding vitamin e. We advise that if you do decide to add any additional serums, oils, additives be sure to test in small batches. We hope this helped in some kind of way!

Thank you and we wish you good luck!

  • can you add tints and essential oils such as lavender oil to this base?

    Good morning!

Yes we do recommend using colorants and essential oils in our lotion bases for a more diverse look and scent if that's your goal! We use our liquid colorants when adding color, and we prefer to use essential oils at a 1% ratio per pound!

    We hope this helped!
