How to make body butter from this base?
Hello,
We advise you don't add any water but instead add more shea butter, cocoa, or mango butter in order to create a very luxurious body butter! You can add liquid oils. We advise adding no more than 4-5oz of solid butters and 1-2oz or liquid cosmetic oils! -
what's the shelf life on this lotion

Do you have an application dilution chart for oils? Meaning how many suggested drops (fragrance oils) per so many ounces of lotion?
Hello,
We currently do not have a dilution chart, but we do recommend adding 1-2tsp of fragrance oil to 16oz of lotion base. Remember the more fragrance you add the greater the risk may be that it becomes runny. Some fragrances for some unknown reason may make your lotion runny.

Since the Shea Butter Base have preservatives, is this still considered a natural lotion base?
Hello,
Yes, even though this product has a preservative it is still considered natural. This product contains a small amount of preservative to extend the life of this nourishing lotion. Majority of the products that are labled natural contain preservatives all throughout the cosmetic industry. When defining the meaning of natural there is no fine line between how many natural ingredients a product has to contain vs. how many non natural ingredients it has. Luckily for you this lotion base contains such a small percentage of the "unnatural preservative" that it makes it one of the top concentrated bases around!
